Schärfe, Fläche, Tiefe. Wenn die Filmbilder sich der Narration entziehen. Bildnischen des Spielfilms als Verbindungslinien der Bild- und Filmwissenschaft

So why not just be pure moving surface, sharpening the perception and memory of and the concentration on the film’s off- and on-screen activities, for its work with sections of the world, with depth and two-dimensionality and the far more substantial question of how we see what we see. The off and on-stage of the moving images at one and the same time – space for seeing and moving or being moved. As such a balance between perusal (Durchsicht) and supervision (Aufsicht) – multistable images in cinema.
