Boundaries between art and everyday life were often negotiated in the visual arts of the 20th century. They were postponed, transgressed or newly adjusted. Nowadays these boundaries become obsolete to some artworks. The cross reference to the other sphere as a ›foreign‹ field is no longer of importance or is only indicated by inchoate ›markers‹. This may – but need not necessarily – lead to constellations that raise ethical questions.
